Introducing Glenwood School

A very warm welcome to Glenwood School, a specialist secondary school for around 97 pupils who require a personalised curriculum to meet their moderate learning needs, physical, sensory and language challenges and who may be on the Autism Spectrum.

At Glenwood we are driven to provide a relevant and enjoyable curriculum that develops the whole child, enabling them to achieve outstanding outcomes and succeed, both academically, emotionally and socially. Our over-arching aim is that pupils leave us well-rounded young adults, living as independently as possible and take the lead in living aspirational lives.

Governors and staff are proud of the ambitious curriculum we offer. All pupils access a broad and balanced curriculum, they have opportunity to develop their emotional intelligence, they are aware of and appreciate British Values, they enjoy reading, they experience the brilliance of human creativity through cultural capital days, they learn how to stay safe, they learn how to take good care of themselves, inside and out and at KS4 they are given opportunity to explore their interests, talents and skills through a hand-picked option scheme.

Our website is designed to give you a flavour of our school however it is in the process of being  redesigned, so if you have any questions that you cannot find the answers to please give us a call or come in and visit the school. You would be most welcome.
